Hargeisa (/ h ɑːr ˈ ɡ eɪ s ə / har-GAY-sə; Somali: Hargeysa; Arabic: هرجيسا, romanized: Harjīsā) is the largest and capital city of the self-declared Republic of Somaliland. It is also the regional capital of the Waqooyi galbeed province of Somalia.
